Real fight between WWE Superstars: Goldberg and Chris Jericho

Goldberg has always been considered to be one of the hardest guys to compete for WWE. His durability was put to the test in 2003 when he challenged Chris Jericho in a real-life battle.

Jericho wrote in his book, “Unquestioned: How to Become World Champ in 1,372 Simple Measures,” about the war in great detail.

The feud between the two legends of wrestling dated back to their days at WCW. This was only a matter of time before the two challenged each other when Goldberg signed with WWE in 2003 and was assigned to the RAW brand.

Y2J found out after his match during WWE RAW ‘s April 7, 2003 edition that Goldberg had been criticizing his in-ring work.

This prompted Jericho to confront the twice-time Universal Champion and the verbal exchange did not take long to turn into a real fight.

Goldberg attempted to take advantage of his strength and wanted to push Jericho to the ground. Nevertheless, Jericho turned out to be the strongest fighter outside the ring and trapped Goldberg in a front face lock until they were split up by several other stars. Jericho revealed these:

“We scuffled back into the dressing room and were finally broken up by Arn Anderson, Terry Taylor, Hurricane, Christian, and Booker T. Nash Mantis continued to sit in his chair in the corner of the room watching the festivities.”
