Rowan Cheshire: Hottest English Skier Ever

Rowan Cheshire was born on 1 September 1995 and is a British freestyle skier who specializes in halfpipe. Cheshire took part in the 2013 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup in Voss, Norway and was in 17th place. She won a bronze medal at the 2013 Valmalenco World Junior Championships.

In January 2014, when she participated in the halfpipe event at a meeting in Calgary, she became the first British female skier to win a halfpipe competition on the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup.

This was the first World Cup Freestyle win for a British female skier since Jilly Curran ‘s win in a 1992 aerials competition. At the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014, she was competing when she was knocked unconscious after hitting a half-pipe wall at preparation.

She has had to withdraw from the Olympics after the crash. The incident caused her to have a broken nose and serious concussions. It was one of the three head injuries she suffered during an 18-month span which caused her immense side effects, both physical and suffering.

She returned to the competition in December 2016 after spending two years away from the sport, however, and finished fourth in a Revolution Tour event at Copper Mountain, Colorado, moving on to a top 30 finish in the first half-pipe competition of the 2016-17 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup, which was also hosted by Copper Mountain.

It was followed in January 2017 by a 14th place finish in a World Cup competition at Mammoth Mountain. She took part in the 2018 Winter Olympics and qualified for the final of halfpipe skiing.
