Born on January 6, 1995, Winifer Fernandez is a very popular Dominican volleyball player. In the year 2015 she had competed with Mirador at the FIVB Club World Championship.
Winifer Fernandez had won the Best Libero, Digger, and Receiver NORCECA U18 Championship awards in the year 2010 and she also repeated the awards in the 2012 NORCECA U20 Championship. She won a gold medal this time, and the Most Valuable Player Award.
Fernandez was the bronze medal winner with the Dominican club Santiago in the 2008 Dominican Republic Volleyball League. She and her club Cienfuegos won the 2009 Santiago province championship and the Best Libero award. She won Best Digger, Best Receiver and Best Libero awards at the 2010 NORCEA Youth Championship as a 15-year-old, and finished in fourth place with her team.
Winifer Fernandez also won the gold medal of the U23 Pan-American Cup in the year 2012 before debuting in the same year with the national team at the FIVB World Grand Prix.
Winifer Fernandez has won the World Grand Prix Group 2, the 2016 Pan-American Cup and the 2017 gold medals of the Bolivarian Games.
