Hope Solo was born in the year 1981, on 30 July. She is a very well known goalkeeper of American soccer.
From the year 2000 to 2016, she was the goalkeeper for the women’s national soccer team in her country, and she is also a twice-time Olympic gold medalist and has won herself World Cup championship title.
Hope Solo had been playing professionally for Philadelphia Charge in the Women’s United Soccer Association after she had played at college level for the University of Washington.
Solo had then gone on to fly to Europe for playing the top division leagues in France and Sweden, when WUSA folded after her very first season.
Solo had played in the Women’s Professional Soccer from the year 2009 till 2011. Hope Solo had then played in W-League for Seattle Sounders after the WPS stopped all operations in the year 2012.She had played for the Seattle Reign FC in recent years.
She was well known as the world’s top female goalkeepers and now, Hope Solo holds the U.S. record for clean sheets.
She was the starting goalkeeper for most of the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup and also helped lead the U.S. semi-finals team.
After a very controversial move made by the head coach, Greg Ryan for benching Hope Solo in favor of the goalkeeper, Briana Scurry for the semifinal, where the nation, Brazil, had defeated the United States 4–0, Hope Solo made headlines with the post-game remarks resulting in various teammates shunning her.
