She has also won a record five times at the Winter X Games — 2007, 2008 , 2012, 2013 and 2018 in slopestyle. At the 2017 Winter X Games Anderson won a gold medal in the dual slalom.

Anderson continues to compete with enthusiasm, given her success on the slopes; the same fire that allowed her to be successful right from the start.

“At the end of the day, it’s snowboarding. We all started it because of the fun it brings and how much joy it is being out there on the mountain with your friends. It’s like playing, you know? We’re pretty much snowboarding on a playground up there,” she said in a previous interview in the New York Times.

Anderson is joined by Julia Marino, Hailey Langland and Jessika Jenson on women’s slopestyle / big air squad.
