Joy Giovanni is the American actress, glamor model, and retired professional wrestler who is best known for her time in WWE and who is the first and only winner of the Rookie Diva of the Year award.
She was born in 1978 in Los Angeles , California, USA, on 20th January. She is of origin from Italy.
In 2004 she took part in the WWE Diva Search contest and placed sixth. She signed a contract with WWE after that, and made her debut as a massage therapist for SmackDown.
She hosted a Thanksgiving Party together with The Big Show, and was confronted by Luther Reigns. She began a rivalry with the villain Amy Weber and they were involved in the rivalry with JBL at the Big Show.
Yet in 2005, the feud came to an end following Amy Weber ‘s exit and she went on to win the 2005 Rookie Diva of the Year award where she beat Rochelle Loewen, Michelle McCool and Lauren Jones. She also participated in a bikini contest where Torrie Wilson won.
After that, she occasionally made appearances in the backstage segments or in bikini and lingerie contests. She was released from contract with WWE in 2005. Yet she made her return at WWE’s WrestleMania XXV and made her official in-ring debut in a 25-Diva Battle Royal winning the first Miss WrestleMania yet Bella Twins disqualified her.
She also had an acting career, and starred in the movies Instinct vs. Logic and When Everything That Falls in 2004 and 2005. She was featured in the Beast and The Harlot music video in 2006. She was cast into the 2007 movie, Pretty Cool Too. She has featured in other promo videos including a spoof of a Taxi Driver.
Currently she works in California as a massage therapist.
